What I work on

Migration & health data

Building reusable methods to identify migration status in NHS records via OpenSAFELY, including work on 24 million people in England and the open-source OpenCodeCounts tool.

COVID-19 & migrants

Infection, hospitalisation, vaccination and primary care use among migrants during the pandemic, using CPRD and the Virus Watch cohort.

Racism, conflict & policy

The wider determinants of health: xenophobic health-system policies, Islamophobia, border pushbacks and the impact of armed conflict on children.

Open, reproducible methods so any analyst can study migrant health in NHS data.

The aim of my Bennett fellowship, built on the OpenSAFELY platform.
